I’m team “hooks” all the way... I don’t think you’ll find a single towel bar or ring in our new build (although I can’t remember what I’ve even ordered at this point, so we’ll see what shows up on my doorstep).

Scrolling through my old pictures this AM, and I came across this pretty inspiration shot I took last summer in Telluride.

Yet another reminder for myself that getting out into the world is one of the best things for the creative process. There is so much beauty to be found everywhere we go (although, Telluride, I must say, may have a little more than most 💙🏔).

Paint is well underway, and a week from now everything should be MUCH more colorful.

These are the colors you’ll see throughout our house. It’s got my usual whites, blues and blacks as well as green, grey and a hint of beige.

Can’t wait to show you more!

This dream of a space from @hilaryhaleinteriors really jumped out at me in a way not many images do.

I don’t know if it’s the contrast of that brilliant blue against the crisp white background or the earthy details of the leather straps and the woven chairs.

All I know is I LOVE THIS ROOM! 💙💙💙

🌱 There are some times in life where you should be doing a million other things, but instead you choose to decant and hand label your entire spice collection.

For me, that time is now.

PS. I didn’t have time for cute custom labels, so I swapped in 1 in. strips of pretty Washi tape and labeled with a Sharpie. I kinda like it.

We got pushed back a tiiinnny this week but I know that good things and quality work are worth waiting for.

The last of the trim wrapped up yesterday and now my amazing painters have moved on to tackling my eccentric partial wall paint preferences.

Look at those crisp lines! I’m dying. I’m such a details person.

Next week things will look very different.

Also, I’m facing the facts that I’m going to have to reacquaint myself with our treadmill once we move. I have some mixed emotions. But I think having such an awesome space to workout in will help motivate me 🏋️🏃🏼‍♀️.

I designed my office bathroom around a piece of Chrysoprase that I’ve been carrying around with me for the past 6 months or so.

One of my favorite parts of building this house so far is the feeling of drawing something on a piece of paper and then watching it magically come to life in the hands of a talented tradesperson.

Today I’m marveling at how easy our trim carpenter turned my closet drawings into reality (➡️ swipe to see my initial drawing).

The organizer in me is excited to get start lining things up neatly on these shelves!).
