Gardening is usually a bit like “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” for me. I go out and do a little work, but it isn’t too long before I realize I need something – gloves, weed spray, a new hose. Inevitably, I hop in the car and head to the Home Depot patio section for some deals.

While I’m there I usually grab a few things to refresh my patio as well – Home Depot has great deals and it’s so convenient! I can’t tell you how many little treasures I’ve found in the seasonal patio and garden section over the years. Today I wanted to quickly share a few things that I’ve either purchased for or yard (or have my eye on) from the Home Depot patio selection in case you need a little inspiration.

Metal Raised Beds

There’s a pretty eclectic look going on in my backyard; I have a few types of raised beds. I started with the stock tank planters and expanded to a second kitchen garden area with galvanized metal raised beds in a variety of sizes. I have a mix of extra tall beds (shown below with my tomato arch!) and lower ones on the perimeter.

The tall ones are great for not having to bend down when you garden, but the lower ones require less fill dirt and are great for my cut flowers.

I have had these for 3 years and they are holding up beautifully. I just top them off with some fresh dirt at the beginning of each season, and it makes my annual planting so easy.

Durable White Patio Chairs

If you’re just getting started with furnishing your porch or patio, these chairs are top of my list of recommendations. They are heavy duty, SO DURABLE, and not fussy at all about maintenance. Simply wash with soap and water a few times a year and you’re good! I move them around all the time- they’re perfect on decks, firepits, and porches. They don’t blow around in the wind and they can stand up to cold Colorado winter weather. 10/10. They have so many colors in the Home Depot patio section online – I love the white but there’s something for everyone!

We’ve had these wooden Cracker Barrel rocking chairs forever. I LOVE sitting on a rocking chair on the porch, but the wood hasn’t held up that well. I think maybe I’ve been spoiled by my other Polywood chairs? If I were investing in rocking chairs for the first time, I would choose these ones from the Home Depot for my patio! Same classic appeal, much more durable.

Black and White Cabana Stripe Details

I love a classic black and white cabana stripe, and Home Depot has a good selection of patio cushions in a variety of sizes to choose from. A set of 2 throw pillows is currently under $40, which is a STEAL!

This cute cabana stripe umbrella adds shade and a bold accent color to any color of the garden. I don’t have one yet, but I have my eye on it. I think it would be so cute with my dining set.

Heavy Duty PATIO Set

It gets REALLY windy where we live- once we woke up to find our outdoor sofa had blown out of our yard, across a busy street and landed over a quarter mile away! We had to find an outdoor dining set that was HEAVY if it was going to last and I found the perfect dining table. Luckily, it matched my patio chairs! I started with just the table and mixed it up with some stackable bistro chairs, but this whole set is available at a GREAT PRICE from the Home Depot patio department. I’m considering upgrading my chairs so I will have a full matching set.

Copper Garden Accents

One final repeating theme in my garden is copper accents. We have copper lighting on the exterior of our home and I wanted to pull it through into the garden as well.

I have collected a watering can, a birdbath, and a cute birdfeeder on various trips to the Home Depot Patio department and I love the way they carry our home’s cohesive style into the outdoor spaces!
