The Best Wagon For Baseball Games (+ What I Pack In It)
The Best Wagon For Baseball

After my first year as team mom for my son’s baseball team, I realized my old discount store wagon wasn’t going to cut it. It was constantly overflowing… I just have too much stuff to pack for a day at the ballpark!
So I researched the best wagon for baseball and scoped out what other moms had at the ballpark (naturally). I was looking for durability and most importantly, large capacity. This is the cart I ended up choosing.
I LOVE how the bottom compartment gives me room to slide in large and awkward items like chairs and shade tents, leaving the top open and available for coolers, water bottles, and snacks. It folds up really easily (kind of like a pack n’ play!) and fits great in my car. Lots of people notice it when we’re on the sports fields because it holds SO. Much. Stuff. Seriously, this is the best wagon for baseball, it holds everything I need.

What I pack Inside My Baseball Wagon
Most of the things I linked above are pretty straightforward: seeds, sunscreen, sunglasses… the usual things we pack for a weekend tournament.
But there are a few specific things I want to point out that are the best baseball gear I’ve found- I always have them in my wagon.
Baseball Shade Tent
I have purchased and used half a dozen shade tents for baseball and football games over the years, and after I started using this shade tent I stopped my search.
It’s made of super stretchy, UV protective material (originally made for the beach!) and is so easy to set it up. You can hook it directly to the backstop, and it comes with a genius tool that helps you drive the stakes into the grass. You can adjust the posts to different angles to control the shade.
This shade tent has SAVED me on hot days. It’s the best… plus it packs up small to save space in my baseball wagon. I have the black, but they have so many fun colors!

Spray MISTER FOr HOT Baseball Games
Another baseball mom shared this portable mister with me and it’s a great way to keep players cooled off during long, hot days at the ballpark. You simply fill it with cold water and the mist does the rest.

Unique Insulated Coolers
I currently have the best regular Yeti roadie hard-sided cooler, which fits perfectly in my baseball wagon. But they’ve come out with two even cooler versions of this baseball staple, and I wanted to share them.

First, they have a ROLLING version, which is great for wheeling the Gatorades and PRIMEs into the dugout without breaking a sweat.
They also have a version with a water spout to keep water or sports drinks cold all day.

And finally, this version is similar to the drink dispenser above, but less expensive! It would be awesome to fill with a batch of margaritas at the lake after the games too… just sayin’!

Bee Sting Relief Tool
A few years into our travel baseball experience, I realized that it’s not a matter of If someone’s going to get stung by a bee… it’s when.
I always keep this in my gameday bag so I’m ready for the inevitable- and someone always needs to borrow it!
Portable Charger
The best MUST HAVE that I’ll be sure to pack in my baseball wagon this season is a portable power bank. Game Changer and TeamSnap updates seriously run down my battery at the ballpark, and having this in my bag means I never have to run back to the parking lot to plug my phone into the car charger. 10/10 recommend.
