6 Simple Storage Solutions For a More Organized Laundry Room
In this post I’m going to show you exactly what to buy to upgrade your laundry room’s organization game. After a lot of trial and error (and frankly, a lot of bad purchases), I have narrowed down a list of my top 6 favorite storage solutions for the laundry room.
And I’m excited to share them with you here.
Deep Sided Turntable
I have a few of this staple storage solution in almost every room of our house, and if you want a more organized laundry room, you’ll probably want to grab a few.
I love these because:
- They rotate for easy access even in deep or hard to reach closets/cabinets
- The deep sides keep contents contained so they don’t fall over or spill out
- The clear acrylic matches my other organizing bins and doesn’t compete with the decor
- These are easy to label using a vinyl cutter, paint markers, or preprinted labels
You can place them on closet shelves, directly inside cabinets, or stack them on top of shelf risers or drawer units (see below) to get functional containment anywhere you need to improve storage.

Tiered Under sink Storage
This tiered cabinet organizer is my favorite! I have both the version pictured below and the two-tiered version in my laundry room, bathroom cabinets, and under my kitchen sink.
I love them because:
- The drawers glide really smoothly
- They can easily be labeled with bin clip labels
- The solid surface on top that offers even more storage potential (try placing a turntable on top!).
This awesome laundry room storage solution comes in 3 colors!

Back of Door Storage
The backside of you door is one of the most overlooked storage solutions for your laundry room. Don’t miss this opportunity to seriously upgrade your laundry room organization!
In about 30 minutes you can install this heavy duty storage unit directly to your door (or make it even quicker with an over-the-door attachment).
Simply attach the center pole, then space the baskets, bins, hooks and any other accessories in a way that accomodates the clutter you want to hide away. They snap into place easily and can be adjusted as your needs change.
Easy peasy (and surprisingly affordable)!

Uniform Coat Hangers
Something about matching hangers in your coat closet just feels like you have your life together, doesn’t it?
I used to drive myself crazy trying to keep up with cute matching hangers in our bedroom closets, but I had to give up on that. It wasn’t manageable for me.
Fortunately, I have been able to keep it up in our coat closet. If you’re on the fence, I can assure you it’s way easier.
I like heavy wooden hangers like these – it makes me feel like I’m at a hotel!

Big Glass Jars
Of all the “big glass jars” I have purchased, this is my favorite. I love the way the heavy black lid looks and how well it seals on top of the canister.
In the laundry room, I display these in multiples on the counter and fill them with laundry essentials like detergent (powder or pods), scent beads, loose change, etc.
You can even add a pretty metal scoop if you want to be extra fancy!

Affordable Wall Hooks
Finally, the most “bang for your buck” storage solution for laundry rooms has to be simply mounting LOTS of hooks on your wall.

We simply added a piece of wood to the wall and mounted these towel hooks onto them. And we use them SO MUCH.
I hang laundry on them, they store the kids’ backpacks, and guests can use them as coat hangers when we’re hosting a party.
This is an easy DIY project – all you need is a piece of wood, some paint or stain, and a couple of wall hooks.
