10 Easy Ways To Update Your Fall Kitchen Decor: Countertop Edition

Sometimes when it comes to decorating your house, you just need a quick win.

That has been especially true for me this year. Our family is in a particularly busy season of life, and I just haven’t had the time or energy to put much effort into our seasonal decor. Luckily, a little goes a long way!

Here are 7 EASY ways to quickly (and affordably) add a subtle touch of Fall to your countertops. It’s the kind of Fall kitchen decor that doesn’t add clutter- but adds enough seasonal color + texture to make an impact in just a few minutes.

7 Fall Kitchen Decor Ideas For COuntertops

  1. First, bring in a warm colored dish towel in a pretty Autumnal pattern. You can roll a few and tuck them into a bowl on your counter for easy grab/go. These reusable paper towels are especially great for this and come in lots of fun seasonal prints!
  2. This wood bowl is under $20 (a steal!!!) and would look so cute filled with fresh apples or white mini-pumpkins.
  3. You can never have enough cutting boards and this one has a pretty scalloped edge. Simply lean it against your backsplash and go!
  4. These white yarrow faux stems look so realistic and I love the color- pop a few in the textured vase and tuck it in a corner (they’re always hard to style, and the organic shape of a plant or floral is a great way to soften the edges).
  5. Next, I love a little table lamp on the kitchen counter, and this one has great contrast with the warm pottery-like finish and the scalloped rattan shade. I usually tuck these into corners as well. Since this one is a little smaller, consider stacking a few cookbooks horizontally underneath if you need some height!
  6. Add a cozy cookbook with warm colors and warm recipes to your cookbook stand (or just lean it against the backsplash facing out). This is a great fall cookbook- her recipes are so good…
  7. Finally, this rattan bowl is perfect for displaying seasonal produce on your island! It has a little bit of height, which I love. Bonus: In a few months you can fill it with ornaments or greenery to transition into the holidays.

This week’s post was a bit shorter, but I think these ideas are all great ideas for a mid-week home decor boost. Bring home one or two of these items when you make your next Target/WalMart run and have some fun styling your space for a few minutes while you unload the groceries- that’s the kind of home decorating project that anyone can do!

Happy Fall!
