NoCo Designer Spotlight
Deko Design + Construction
I love featuring other designers’ work on the blog, especially fellow Northern Colorado designers. Today I am excited to share a project created by one of my favorite NoCo design-build duos, Deko Design + Construction.
Orion + Chelsea Breed have created some beautiful spaces in Berthoud, Fort Collins, and Loveland… but their most recent project, Laurie Lane, is actually in Lake Havasu, Arizona. (How fun is that?).
They named it Casa De Magdalenas and it available now if you know someone who aspires to become a snowbird…share this post! You can check out the listing site and the video tour by clicking the link at the bottom of this post.
Lake Havasu Home Details
This design is clean and modern and makes everyday feel like you’re on vacay. Perfect as a vacation house or a full-time residence, this house has a ton of awesome features:
- Indoor-Outdoor feel with huge accordion doors that open up the kitchen to the gorgeous pool area.
- Outdoor shower and lounge area.
- 2200 sq. feet of garage space, including a 14 x 60 true RV garage, epoxy floors, 1/2 bath and 2 mini-splits for climate control.
- A guest casita including a kitchenette and a washer/dryer area!
Terrific Tile + Decor Selections
Check out all the fun touches in the cabinetry, lighting, and the TILE!

I love the way it all flows together from room to room, but still feels unique in each space. I am especially loving the green tile on the wet bar wall. It adds just enough personality to the mostly neutral color scheme and plays perfectly off the palm trees outside the giant glass accordion door. Look at the mountain views from this Lake Havasu house!

An Entertainer’s Kitchen
This is a house built for gathering and the kitchen is the hub for that. There are two HUGE islands for seating and serving. The layout of this kitchen is really unique and thoughtful. If you host often you know this fact… everybody inevitably ends up in the kitchen. This one can handle it.

The space opens up to a living area (which is big enough to accommodate multiple seating groups). The enormous dining island seats 6 comfortably on barstools and the smaller island features waterfall countertops.

The wet bar is prime location for popping inside for a cold drink (or serving snacks to the crew).
Seriously though…why does swimming always make people so hungry?
Finally, you have this stunning cooking wall with a modern black range hood and more cool tile. How cute is that teal dutch oven?!? Love, love, love.

Neutral Entryway and Living Room Decor
The simple furnishings in this Lake Havasu house were designed to show potential buyers one possible way to use the space in the long living room (because sometimes they can be tricky to decorate).
Here there is a secondary seating area, although the space could also accommodate a dining table if the buyer wanted to incorporate a traditional table.

The space is clean, simple and welcoming.

Other Unique Spaces In This Lake Havasu House
This house truly has so many cool features. The waterfall countertop over the washer and dryer is a unique idea with a high-end look. Plus, it’s easy to keep clean and gives tons of folding space.

The bedroom sliders open up to the backyard as well and face that gorgeous mountain view.

Finally, the RV garage has not one but TWO doors. This one is on the back side of the garage bay and opens up to the backyard for even more party possibilities.
You should check out the full house tour to see it all in action.
Thanks for checking out this house tour! If you want to see more local Northern Colorado designers or building pros here (or you’d like me to feature your business), let me know and I’ll work to make it happen.
